How can maps, GIS and other geospatial approaches help students explore issues of social justice? This series of short lightning talks about individuals and organizations working in this area will be followed by conversation and connecting to build collaborations, learn about resources and strengthen pedagogical approaches in the hopes of stimulating more of this work.
This workshop is geared toward the K12 community and those who work with K12 teachers and students. We welcome participants from higher ed and informal learning, too!
Hosted by the Leventhal Map & Education Center, U-Spatial at the University of Minnesota, and New American History.
Online and free. Please register on Eventbrite here. The Zoom link will be emailed the day before the event.
