This atlas of Rome is an important addition to the Leventhal Map Center Urban Maps Collection of Distinction. It dates from the mid-18th century when European countries first started preparing large scale detailed maps of the urban landscape. Of particular interest in this volume is a multi-sheet map depicting individual buildings in the city.
